The winter months are the best time for the feeding program and so Just One will be increasing the number of food distributions over this time. Distributions will be scheduled each week. During the summer months, the sun is so intense that temperatures can reach 115 F/ 46 C. In addition to the heat, there are often strong gusts of wind that continually blow dirt into the children's plates and faces. In contrast the winter months bring healthier appetites and a need for meals that warm the body.
Today's Just One feeding is about 180 children. As we begin to do more feedings, we may go to the smaller villages with less children as these are also often the most in need. And the impact is still very significant.
