When I arrive, I am greeted with warm smiles as a mutual recognition takes place. I was here earlier in the month. As we prepare the food, some children come to say hello. It is nice to see that they are all smiling and happy. It feels good to share time with these children. To simply love them and be loved by them.
In the end though, none of this matters during the feeding. The children whose families are poorer eat and sit together with all the other children. We all enjoy spending time together, eating a meal, and simply relaxing. With a full belly, our minds are at rest and I feel grateful for the love we shared together.
