September 3 sees the numbers of students at the school rise to over 300. There has been a sharp increase in numbers since the last visit by Just One, with one whole classroom filled wit happy smiling new faces. The children seem to be of varying ages and this is confirmed by the teachers. Students attend class based on education level, not on age, and it is still common for children to be withheld from attending school or to start early and be removed at an early age as well. This leads to a range of ages in the students who may be in a single class.
On Saturday the 24th September there are noticeably less students as today is another Hindu holiday. Mainly older students are missing meaning Just One serves approximately 280 students today.. The bananas were quickly handed out amongst those students present and the students soon returned to their studies enriched through the receipt of a gift and the attention received.
