When there are sufficient puri for a classroom of 5 year olds, the older boys begin to serve the youngest children. Today we are serving puri (fried bread), vegetable curry and kheer (milk rice pudding), both the latter having been transported piping hot from the nearby kitchen.
When the last of the 10 classrooms were eating their meals, the servers still continued their seva, waiting to see if anyone wanted more. However the principal insisted that these boys too sit down and be served a meal, and his requested was immediately, although somewhat reluctantly, followed. In total 327 meals were served to students and staff.
