a. To look at the needs of the school both structurally and academically
b. To distribute writing materials to the students
When we arrived we were warmly welcomed and a table set up for the materials to be distributed. As usual the oldest students automatically jumped in to assist without being asked, and very soon a table and cloth was set up and the paper, pens and pencils were ready to be distributed.
Afterwards discussions were held with the staff of the school about improvements and extensions they would like to see in the school, and in the materials available to the students and to teach the students. It was a productive afternoon with the teachers agreeing to provide a list of useful teachers aids to Yoshiko.
As part of this visit funds were also donated tor soap and soap holders in the children's bathrooms, and to purchase sporting equipment and games for the children to have during their rest period.
